Is There Any Way To Remove A New York Driving Suspension?

Yes. If the reason you were suspended was, for example, that you were convicted of a points-related violation that put you over the 11-point maximum, a skilled attorney may be able to petition the court you were convicted in to vacate the conviction and reduce the speed so that you will have less than 11 points, DMV will lift the suspension. Another example, say you were revoked because you were convicted by default of no insurance in a Traffic Violations Bureau of New York City, Suffolk, Rochester or Buffalo (in those courts you can be convicted by default if you do not respond to the ticket in a timely manner). An attorney can petition DMV to vacate the default conviction and if and when that is accomplished DMV will reinstate your driver’s license.
