The Traffic Violations Bureau is an arm of DMV; special courts were set up in the above locations to handle high volumes of traffic tickets in a streamlined manner. Ticket information as well as pleas and payments can be made online. The major downside, however, is that there are no settlements or “plea bargains” in the TVB. An attorney cannot meet with a prosecutor or officer and make a deal to reduce the charges or points in exchange for a plea to a lesser offense. The only two options are (a) plead guilty; or (b) take the matter to trial.
